Pondering

I was just watching the Spongebob Squarepants episode where he rips his pants. You never see anything embarrassing when he tries covering up his ripped-pant-area. I guess that’s to be expected though, I mean it IS a kid’s program. As my wife was walking back in to grab Simon and prep him for bed I let her in on my observation that: “Being a sponge, Spongebob doesn’t have a butt crack. He’d only have a butt hole.”
She was just as impressed as I am sure you are.
Moments later, speaking online with my good buddy Andy I lamented to him about the beginnings of an article I was reading earlier today. It started with:
“That rather sad, muffled noise you hear behind the whoops and cheers of Democrat America is not the sound of defeated neocons mourning the passing of trickle-down economics;”
To which he replied that it sounded like something Brak would say.
“It’s merely symptomatic of our post-modern ennui. There are no absolutes and not to perceive our world as meaningless when it’s really your own freedom you detest.
“I like pork.”

Oh Brak… oh Cartoon Network… Where would I be without you!?
