All She Wanted

December 22, 2008 by Douglas · Leave a Comment

Check it out, found a song I was writing back in October of 2003… it’s not complete and a bit lame – but hey its a blog post!

ALL SHE WANTED
October 2003

“Romeo” wore silk shirts
Brought Donna flowers and wine,
He gave her deep looks,
Long walks, and then “Romeo” gave her time.

He came from a rodeo
He brought Donna a thrill and fun,
Our boy knew the lines,
He had the touch, and knew how to run.

(Chorus)
All she wanted was a
Strong man with a good heart,
Someone to love her
In the night time – when the day starts.
All she wanted was the
Sun up to sun down,
All he gave her was
Cheap love from a rodeo clown.

She sits on the steps
Waiting for his call,
She knew he was lying
Our boy wouldn’t come at all.

She should have seen the truth
Oh she’s been decieved before,
The rodeo loves Donna
That’s why she can’t stay away

I think this was a country song, though I can’t remember the tune. Enjoy!
